Competition In Virtual Reality Market

Now Virtual reality had been one of the hottest topic in field of technology. Many people claim that virtual reality will be a big opportunity like smart phones few years ago. Lots of enterprises are going to join this competition include many well-know organizations like Sony, Microsoft and Google. In the following, I will choose some of their product to introduce.

 

Sony

Sony is the most popular enterprise about VR in young people because it focus on the VR gaming.

There are so many strength in Sony VR. Firstly, Sony had a good brand loyalty, many Sony fans are willing to try new products. And then Sony VR product can connect to Sony play station which means there are many potential customers. Second, Sony had long experience in both gaming and high technological hardware. That is easy for Sony to get a leading position in Virtual reality. There are also many problems in Sony VR now. First, some customers said Sony VR just have 3 meters controllable distance which means player couldn’t leave with play station far than 3 meters. Second, Sony VR should be used in dark room, high light in the room will make the camara couldn’t catch the LED back light.

 

Google

 

  Google is one of the top high-technological brand in the world. And also Google start to develop their VR products earlier than most of its competitor. Now there are many different kinds of VR products in Google in different ways include entertainment，education and work  . Some people claim that Google will be the biggest winner in virtual reality competition. The strength in Google is obvious. Google has very good brand loyalty, good development team and publicity channels. Also Google has good industrial design that makes products look pretty. But some of Google VR products don’t have a good User experience. For example, the Google cardboard is only used for phones and some customers said it is useless in many ways. So in my opinion, some Google VR products are not complete, Google should focus on a high technology products.

Immerex

Immerex is a new company which is producing VR product. This company will produce both hardware and software. Immerex is focus on home theater. Customers can enjoy movies at home by Immerex VR product. The strengths of Immerex is that Immerex has good target customers which like watching movies. Because Immerex is a new company, it has a young development team, and also they are creative and imaginative. Problems in Immerex are also big. Firstly, Immerex doesn’t have long experience in VR market. Immerex also doesn’t have good marketing channels.
